A Half-Way Epic Moment

For those of you who haven't read my first blog about blogging, and what I wanted to name mine go read that entry first then proceed to read this. For those of you who have read that entry, or just know the general physical oddities that I can get myself into, please enjoy this one to your hearts content.
Michael and I are taking Family Finance (the USU course) together. So we usually get there a little early, and since it's our last class of the day, we come home when it's done. Today though, I pulled an awesome. There are no other words to describe it really.
Class has just ended, so we stood up, grabbed our backpacks, proceeded like cattle to the nearest aisle and started climbing up the stairs of the ESLC auditorium. Michael in front, me behind. About three stairs from the top, I bent over slightly to adjust my jacket just as Michael stepped up.
Now I am convinced that Murphy's Law (anything that can go wrong, can and will) has decided to be my personal escort through life, and I don't feel that I'm being pessimistic here. So Michael steps up, I'm in the process of bending. And faster than you can blink, I'm stuck. About one square inch of my hair just above my temple is stuck in one of the zippers on his backpack. My face, smooshed into the backpack, means that I have absolutely no way of ever hoping to see my feet. And we're still on the stairs mind you. As most of you will note, I usually wear my hair back, and today was no exception. In fact, I had braided it. So seeing as my hair is stuck, we're on the stairs, and people are behind us trying to get out, I do what I would usually do. I grabbed Michael's backpack and started laughing. This is the part that gets me. Half-way turning, Michael looks over his shoulder and says "Are you STUCK?" at which point, the two guys standing on the stairs next to him, start laughing. I halfway wanted to reply " Nope, just picking your pockets" but I didn't.
Luckily, my dear friend Steph is also in the class with us, and today she sat next to us and then followed us out. Needless to say, as soon as she realized what had happened, she started laughing with me. But she also helped guide me up the stairs out of everyone's way and then tried to untangle my head from the zipper. I gave up that idea though, and un-braided my hair so that we could get the heck out of there, all three of us laughing.
One more thing, I was wearing the equivalent of a highlighter-pink jacket, with my hair stuck to a guy's backpack, giggling my little heart out in an auditorium with approximately 500 other people. As Steph dually noted "It's a good thing you two are married, or that would have been REALLY awkward."
